Tigran Avagyan joined the R2D Syunik Project in September 2023 as Senior Community Infrastructure Expert and Coordinator of the Community Infrastructure Improvement Component. He is a construction management professional and civil engineer with more than 17 years of experience in transport and water infrastructure.
His professional background covers infrastructure project preparation, procurement, construction implementation, contract management and stakeholder coordination. He has worked with design and construction companies, international supervision consultancies, public-sector PIUs, major private investment projects and donor-funded initiatives.
His key project experience includes the North–South Road Corridor Investment Project, financed by the Asian Development Bank and European Investment Bank, and the Amulsar Gold Mine infrastructure construction Project for Lydian International Limited, where he worked alongside international engineering and project management firms. He has also undertaken expert and consultancy assignments with UNDP and on assignments supported by AFD and ADB, with additional experience in EU, EIB and World Bank-supported projects.
His main areas of expertise include roads and bridges, drinking water supply, irrigation, hydraulic infrastructure and municipal infrastructure development.
