Vagharshak Mkrtumyan joined the R2D Syunik Project in January 2024 as Micro Small and Medium sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Advisor.
Prior to that, he worked as an office manager at the Strategic Development Agency (SDA) and a facilitator of local institutions, then as a project manager at the Action Against Hunger (ACF) international organization. He has experience in implementing programs aimed at the development of SMEs using "Market Systems Development" (MSD) approach.
Vagharshak Mkrtumyan has a mechanical engineering background with MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Vagharshak is an ICRA (International Centre for development-oriented Research in Agriculture) alumni. He participated in “Agricultural Research for Development” training course in Wageningen the Netherlands, which was incorporated with practical research activities in Ghana.
He participated in “Making Markets Work for the Poor” (M4P) training course in Glasgow, Scotland, organized by “The Springfield Centre for Business in Development” consulting company.
